Police on Monday (October 30) recovered the body of a man from Jayanti river in Nazirpur union of Muladi upazila of Barisal.

The deceased was identified as Khalekuzzaman Kushal, 46.

Muladi police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman told Banglanews that the deceased was identified through National ID card which was recovered after searching.

Kushal went to Khulna from his house in the Sutrapur area on October 24. He last contacted his mother on October 26.

The body will be sent to Dhaka after the post-mortem, the OC said.
