MMCH ransacked, work abstention Tuesday

MYMENSINGH: Internee doctors of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital vandalized door and window glass of managing director’s room and locked emergency department of the hospital on Monday night.

Later, they called work abstention programme for Tuesday.

Hospital sources said to banglanews that son of a patient also retired doctor quarreled with a female intern at around 8pm. when internee doctors gathered to protest the incident, the patient and his son fled from the hospital.

Later, protesting the incident, interns vandalized door and window of Director’s room and locked emergency department and brought out a procession.   

Following the matter, Director of the Hospital Brigadier General Fossiur Rahman sat with angry doctors.

MMCH Internee Doctors Parishad general secretary Bikas Chandra Pal told banglanews that emergency department was opened but work abstention programme is set to be observed on Tuesday.
