A man and his wife were killed and two others injured in a head on collision between a pickup van and a Leguna in Munshiganj on Friday (November 10). 

The incident happened in Nimtola area on the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Expressway.

The deceased were Nirmol Chakrabarti, 40, and his wife Kanak Chakrabarti, 35. They were the residents of Barisal district.

Hasara Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Kanchan Kumar Singh confirmed the matter.

He said Nirmol and his wife died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday afternoon.

The pickup and Leguna were seized by the police, he added.
