DHAKA: A police man was burned down and two others sustained injuries as miscreants hurled petrol bombs aiming a requisitioned bus of police in capital’s Bangla Motor area on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Traffic police Constable Ferdous, 35.

Witnesses said that a policemen-laden bus was going to Razarbagh police line at around 11:30pm. On its way, some miscreants riding on a motorbike hurled petrol bombs aiming the vehicle, leaving the police man dead.

Confirming the matter, Ramna Zone Assistant Commissioner (AC) Shibli Noman told banglanews, “The body was kept in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.”

Injured bus driver was admitted to Razarbagh police hospital while Constable Fayezul Islam at DMCH in critical condition.
