Amar Desh editor Mahmudur Rahman gets bail

DHAKA: Mahmudur Rahman, acting editor of the now-defunct daily Amar Desh newspaper, Wednesday secured bail in a defamation suit filed against him in a litany of cases he faces.

Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Sahadat Hossain granted the bail.

Morshedul Islam, younger brother of State Minister for Law Advocate Qamrul Islam, filed the defamation case against Mahmudur Rahman on May 30.
