Belal made Ambassador in Netherlands

DHAKA: The government has decided to appoint Sheikh Mohammed Belal, currently serving as East Asia affairs director general of foreign ministry, as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Netherlands.

He has been appointed to serve as ambassador for the Republic of Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A career diplomat, Mohammed Belal belongs to the 10th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre.

In his distinguished diplomatic career besides being East Asia affairs director general of foreign ministry, he served in Bangladesh consulates in Australia, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and United States in various capacities.

Mohammed Belal obtained BSC Degree in Forestry from the University of Chittagong, MA in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Monash University, Australia and MA in Public Administration from the Harvard University, US.
