A total of 1151 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) forces were deployed across the country, including 32 in Dhaka and adjacent districts, to maintain law and order situation.
BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam confirmed the matter on Friday (December 29).
BGB have been deployed across the country including the capital to maintain peace and order to make the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections free, fair and peaceful, the official said.
