Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud on Sunday (January 28) hoped that repartition of the Rohingya will soon take place, and also said the current situation in Myanmar may not remain the same.
He told reporters after his meetings with three envoys separately at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The situation in Myanmar has never been good. It always fluctuates – sometimes good, sometimes bad. Myanmar is going through such a situation, the minister said.
He also said, “The Prime Minister has given shelter to the Rohingyas on humanitarian grounds. Now they are a burden to us. They now outnumber the local community in Cox's Bazar.”
The Foreign Minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been invited to visit China. The Prime Minister will visit China at a convenient time.
