DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) personnel nabbed a fake army captain on charge of extortion from city’s Khilgaon area Thursday morning.

The detainee was identified as Arif Khan Jewel.

RAB sources said that Jewel was caught red handed while he was extorting as an army official in the area at 8:30am.

However, the law enforcers seized a uniform of army, an official bag, a rubber stamp seal, six photographs wearing army’s uniform, a dummy pistol and a walky-talky from the possession.

He was allegedly involved in such fraud activities for a long term.

Confirming the matter to banglanews RAB-3 Company Commander Major Habiul Bashar said that a case was filed in this connection.
