MUNSHIGANJ: Ferry services on Mawa-Kawrakandi river route resumed on Friday morning after an eleven-hour suspension due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
Meanwhile, that some seven ferries with more than one hundred and fifty vehicles, which were anchored in the mid Padma, started journey at 10:00am for respective destination after fog cleared.
Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation’s (BIWTC) Mawa Office Deputy Manager Chandra Shekhar told banglanews, “The ferry services have been suspended due to dense fog for ongoing cold wave across the country.”
