TANGAIL: The Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu bridge highway saw a 45-km long tailback since early Saturday following the end hartal & blockade spells of the opposition 18-party alliance.

Sources said to banglanews that traffic gridlock, created from Gorail to Alenga in Mirzapur of the district, extended to Alenga at 12:00apm pushing into immense sufferings to thousands of passengers.

Confirming the matter, Tangail district Traffic Inspector M. Arifur Rahman said to banglanews that the vehicles of 92 roads of 30 districts including 16 north region districts used to ply through Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu bridge highway.

The victims alleged that local administration is not taking to lessen the any effective steps gridlock.
