Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity (BJKS) today (March 27) urged the government to extend the Eid-ul Fitr vacation for two more days.

Jatri Kalyan Samity Secretary General Mozammel Hoque Chowdhury made the demand at a press conference held at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity.

This year, about 1 crore 60 lakh people will travel from Dhaka city to celebrate Eid in different districts of the country.

To reduce the suffering during the Eid journey, road accidents, unbearable traffic congestion, passenger harassment on the way, and fare anarchy Jatri Kalyan Samity came up with the demand.
