Two people went missing in the Rupsha River when a cargo ship capsized after it collided with the pillar of a rail bridge in Khulna on Sunday (April 7).
In-charge of Rupsha New Police camp Inspector Nurul Islam Sheikh confirmed the matter
He said the fertiliser-laden cargo ship 'MV Three Light-1' from Mongla port hit the pillar of the Rupsha rail bridge and sank in the river around 1:00pm while heading towards Nauapara.
11 crew members out of 13 managed to swim ashore, while two remained missing in the incident.
