A fire broke out at Majhi-Badbar Ghat Bazar at Purba Naudoba in Zajira of Shariatpur this morning, burning about 30 shops into ashes. 

On information, two units of firefighters at Zajira Fire Station rushed to the spot and brought it under control.

In charge of Mazhirghat Naval Police Jasim Uddin said that the fire broke out around 7:48 am on Thursday (April 11).

The firefighters brought the blaze under control at 8:30 am.

The reason and the loss in the flame could not be known immediately, he said.

The officer further said an inquiry into the fire would dig out the exact reason and the total loss.
