Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed has sought time to appear at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for interrogation on charge of accumulating wealth beyond his known income.
ACC Commissioner Jahurul Huque (Investigation) said on Wednesday (June 5) afternoon.
He said that Benazir Ahmed submitted a prayer through his lawyer seeking more time.
Benazir was scheduled to appear at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka to face questions on accumulating wealth beyond his known sources of income on Thursday (June 6), while his wife and daughters on Sunday (June 9).
