Renowned Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye today on a Turkish Airlines flight, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said.

“Bangladesh Consul General in Istanbul Mohammad Mizanur Rahman received Shahidul Alam on his arrival from Israel by Turkish Airlines flight on Friday,” the press wing said in a statement.

Earlier, the press wing had confirmed that Shahidul Alam departed Israel for Türkiye on flight TK 6921.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus expressed gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his cooperation in facilitating Shahidul Alam’s release and repatriation from Israel.
