Information Officer of the Health Ministry Parikshit Chowdhury told banglanews that medical officer Doctor Ilias Bin Akbar of Dhaliya Health Centre of Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh, medical officer Doctor Nasrin Salam of Uthua Health Centre and Health Assistant AR Abdul Baki were suspended.
On Thursday, Health Minister Mohammed Nasim, in a view exchange meeting at the Health Department, said if a physician does not stay at workplace in rural areas for two years, they will be sacked.

ঢাকা: কর্মস্থলে অনুপস্থিত থাকায় দুই চিকিৎসক ও এক স্বাস্থ্য সহকারীকে সাময়িকভাবে বরখাস্ত করা হয়েছে।
স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের তথ্য কর্মকর্তা পরিক্ষীত চৌধুরী বাংলানিউজকে জানান, ময়মনসিংহের ভালুকার ধলিয়া উপস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রের মেডিকেল অফিসার ড. ইলিয়াস বিন আকবর, উথুরা উপস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রের মেডিকেল অফিসার ড. নাসরিন সালাম ও স্বাস্থ্য সহকারী এ আর আব্দুল বাকিকে সাময়িকভাবে বরখাস্ত করা হয়েছে।
এর আগে গত বৃহস্পতিবার স্বাস্থ্য অধিদফতরে মতবিনিময় সভায় স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী ড. নাসিম বলেন, দু’বছর গ্রামে চিকিৎসক না থাকলে চাকরিচ্যুত করা হবে।
