DHAKA: The High Commission of India is celebrating the Republic Day of the country with arranging programmes at the New Chancery Complex in Baridhara area of the city on Sunday.

Pankaj Saran, High Commissioner of India, hoisted the National Flag at 9:00am, to be followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

The High Commissioner then read the President of India’s message to the nation.

Later, children of the Indian community of Dhaka chalked out a cultural programme on the occasion.

The Indian HC also will hold a programme at Hotel Radisson in the city in evening where Cabinet members, members of the parliament, educationist-littérateurs, senior journalists, cultural persons, politicians, government officers and others were invited at the function.
