DHAKA: At least five people went missing as a Sadarghat-bound boat capsized after a jolt with a launch in Buriganga River on Sunday night.

Witnesses said a passenger boat capsized with at least 12 people on board and five of them were rescued by divers.

The fatally injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station Shah Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He added: “Divers are working relentlessly to rescue missing peoples.”
