PABNA: Miscreants chopped a Jubo Dal leader to death at Bera upazila of the district early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Manik Hossain, 45, Jubo Dal president of Ruppur union under Aminpur Thana of Bera upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Aminpur Thana Faruk Hossain said a gang of robbers entered the house of Manik.

The robbers took Manik to the behind of the house and chopped him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot, as he recognized them, OC added.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, he added.
