Mohammad Ali Mia, chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has now been removed from his position. 

He has been attached to the police department.

This change comes following similar moves involving the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Director General of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and the Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

A notification was issued by the Home Ministry's Public Security Department in this regard.

However, no one has been given the responsibility of CID head yet.
