Bashundhara hands over relief items to As-Sunnah Foundation for flood-hit people

Bashundhara Group has partnered with As-Sunnah Foundation to distribute essential relief items to over 5 million flood-affected people in Bangladesh.

The relief materials, including Monalisa brand's sanitary napkins, were handed over on Wednesday at the foundation's Aftabnagar office in Dhaka.

The initiative aims to address the urgent hygiene needs of women in flood-affected areas, where access to necessities has become increasingly difficult due to the disaster.

"We are providing hygiene products, especially for women who cannot access shops during this time," said Md Sanaul Sikder, Head of Event and Outdoor Marketing for Bashundhara Group's Sector C.

"Following the directives of our Chairman, Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, we are not only working through As-Sunnah Foundation but also collaborating with various organizations to ensure these essential items reach those in need."

Sabbir Ahmed, General Secretary of the As-Sunnah Foundation, expressed gratitude for the support from Bashundhara Group, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts during such national crises.

He called on other businesses to follow suit and assist in the relief and rehabilitation efforts, suggesting that the government should offer tax relief to companies contributing to disaster aid.

Bashundhara Group's initiative is part of a broader effort to assist those impacted by the floods, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility and the well-being of the nation.
