BRAHMANBARIA: The train services on Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes halted as a container train derailed in Ashuganj of the district on Friday morning.

Sources said that a compartment of a Chittagong-bound train derailed in outer area of Ashuganj rail station at around 10:45am and halted the rail communication on the two routes.

Confirming the matter, Akhaura Rail Junction Loco shed In-Charge Mahsin told banglanews, “On information, a rescue train rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.”
