HABIGANJ: A person was killed and five more were injured in a clash between to groups of people in Sundarpur village under Madhabpur Upazila of the district on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hye, 48, son of late Abdul Gafur.

Locals said that centering irrigation in the land, two groups of people locked into clash at around 12:00pm, leaving six people injured.

Later, critically injured Abdul Hye was rushed to Sylhet M.A.G Osmani College Hospital where he died at 7:30pm.

Madhabpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Amulyo Kumar Dhar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
