DHAKA: An elderly man was killed in a road accident at Darus Salam Technical intersection of the city on Monday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Sources said that the victim was critically injured as a speedy vehicle rammed him at around 6:00am.

On information, police recovered him and rushed to Suhrawardy Medical Hospital and shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Probational Sub-Inspector (PSI) of Darus Salam Thana Wahedur Rahman Suman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
