GOPALGONJ: A man was killed and five others injured in a road accident in Gerakhola Bridge area under Moksedpur Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as ABM Ehasanul Kabir, 68, a retired bank officer, hailed from Shyamali in Dhaka.

Sources said, the victim, with his family members, was going to Gopalganj by a private car. Then the vehicle collided with a truck in the area at around 5:00am, leaving him dead on the spot and five others injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.

Muksudpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Ferdous Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
