Md Hamidur Rahman Khan, an additional secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, has been appointed as the secretary of the ministry with a promotion to the post.

A gazette notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday.

Hamidur would replace former secretary of the ministry Md Nabirul Islam, who has been made an officer on special duty (OSD), it said.

Besides, Public Private Partnership Authority Chief Executive Officer Md Mostafizur Rahman and Director General Md Abul Bashar have also been made OSDs.

Secretary Md Hafizur Rahman, who was attached to the public administration ministry, has been made executive director of the Public Private Partnership Authority.

Additional Secretary Syed Md Nurul Basir, an OSD, has been appointed as the chairman of the National Housing Authority.

In addition, Islamic Foundation Director General Md Bashirul Alam has been assigned to the Ministry of Public Administration.
