Mirpur-10 metro rail station resumed operations this morning (Oct 15), three months after it was vandalised and shut down in July.
Managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL), Mohammad Abdur Rouf, confirmed the matter to journalists.
On 19 July, unidentified individuals vandalised the Mirpur-10 and Kazipara metro stations during the nationwide Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, which eventually escalated into a mass uprising that toppled the Awami League government.
Metro rail operations were suspended for over a month following the incidents.
Although metro rail services resumed on 25 August, Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations remained closed. The DMTCL reopened Kazipara station on 20 September.
