The Supreme Court (SC) will resume its regular judicial proceedings tomorrow (Oct 20) following the conclusion of a 42-day vacation that began on September 8.

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has already constituted 54 High Court benches with specific jurisdictions to conduct trial proceedings after the vacation, according to a notification.

Regular judicial proceedings at the SC remained suspended until today.

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, which includes six judges, including the chief justice, will hold a full bench hearing tomorrow. After that, the bench will be split into two separate benches, which will continue judicial proceedings from Monday (October 21).

In the High Court Division, there are 101 judges. A total of 29 Division Benches and 25 Single Benches have been constituted, comprising 83 judges from the High Court Division.
