NARAYANGANJ: A woman was killed and six others were injured in a boat capsize in Kheyaghat area in Narayanganj on Sunday afternoon after two trawlers knocked the boat on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sharifa Begum, 62.

Two other people went missing in the incident, said a spot account of the incident.

Local sources said the incident took place in the area around 2:15pm.

However, the passengers of the boat managed to save their live except Sharifa and other two went missing after the incident, sources added.

A team of BIWTA has started searching the missing people.

Sub-Inspector of Narayanganj Nautical Police Outpost Arif Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
