12 Joint Secretaries promoted as Additional Secretary

The government has promoted 12 officials of joint secretary rank to the position of additional secretary. 

Following their promotion, they have been appointed as officers on special duty at the Ministry of Public Administration.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday (December 30), the promotion will be effective from December 24.

The promoted officials are Syed Mehdi Hasan, Director at the Department of Agricultural Marketing; Ahmadul Haque, CPP Director under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief; Md. Rezaul Kabir, Deputy Land Reform Commissioner at the Land Reform Board; Md. Mozaffar Ahmed, Member of SREDA; Howladar Md. Rakibul Bari, Director of Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation; Md. Iqbal Hossain, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports; ATM Kamrul Islam, Director of Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation; Md. Kamal Uddin Biswas, Director of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation; Jalal Uddin Ahmed, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Railways; Md. Shahjahan Mia, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce; Shabnam Mostari, Project Director of 20 Child Daycare Centers; and Abdullah Al Mamun, Director General at Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.

The notification specifies that any discrepancies or adverse findings regarding the promoted officers may lead to amendments or cancellation of the promotion order.

Promoted officers are instructed to submit their joining letters either directly to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration or via the provided email ([email protected]).
