MOULVIBAZAR: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Jilu Mia, 40, son of Nawab Ullah and and Sijil Mia, residents of Sadhuhati village of Monumukh union under Sadar upozilla.

Local sources said a rashly driven passenger bus crushed into their motorbike while they were going to Moulvibazar, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to the Moulvibazar General Hospital and later transferred to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. Jilu Mia died on way to the hospital and later Sijil Mia died at the hospital in the evening.

Chairman of Monumukh Union Parishad Khalisur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
