BARISAL: Two people were killed in a road accident in Babuganj upazila of the district early Sunday.

The deceased was identified Rustom Ali, 35, driver of the bus and Yeazmul, 30, bus supervisor.

Local sources said that a Patuakhali-bound passenger bus from Dhaka plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering in the area around 3:00am, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and many others injured.

Airport thana officer-in-charge Shaheduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
