GAZIPUR: The district administration started investigation against Nurul Islam Babul, Chairman of Jamuna Group, and his associates for their alleged involvement with the murder of three blind men and appropriating properties of Jatiya Andha Sangstha in the district.

Deputy Commissioner of the district Nurul Islam listened to the statements of district leaders of Jatiya Andha Sangstha on Sunday morning.

District leaders of Jatiya Andha Sangstha placed two charges against Babul and his associates to the deputy commissioner and Prime Minister through the deputy commissioner on Thursday.

General Secretary of Jatiya Andha Sangstha M Mujibur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He also said the deputy commissioner Nurul Islam, additional deputy commissioner Shahnewaz Dilruba Khan and M Mohsin talked to them over phone.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq also complied with their demand, he added.

Meanwhile, the blind men are receiving various kinds of threats for filing allegation against Babul, the plaintiffs added.
