JAHANGIRNAGR UNIVERSITY: At least 24 activists, including one bullet-wounded, of Chhatra League of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit were injured in infighting over extortion at the university on Sunday noon.

Witnesses said the clash erupted when students of Shaheed Salam-Barkat Hall protested having food without paying by students of Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall.

Later, despite their earnest wishes, Chattra League leaders failed to solve the problem and the students of two the halls locked into a clash, leaving at least 24 Chhatra League men injured, they added.
