JOYPURHAT: Three people of a family were killed in a road accident in Purba Matapur area of Akkelpur upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.     

The deceased were identified as Abu Kalam, 35 of Dolapara under the upazila, his baby son Shaad and Ujjal of Santahar of Bogra.  

Witnesses said a rashly driven truck crushed into their motorbike in the area on Joypurhat-Akkelpur road around 5:00pm, leaving them dead on the spot.   

Officer-in-Charge of Akkelpur Thana Rezaul Sadik confirmed the matter to banglanews.
