FROM NAY PYI TAW: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a sideline meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at Myanmar capital Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
Unresolved issues like land border treaty, stopping border killing, teesta river treaty between the two countries would be prioritized in the meeting, sources said.
Hasina and Manmohan hold their last meeting in the sideline of United Nations General Meeting in September, 2013.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Nay Pyii Taw on Monday and held several bilateral meetings with President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Thein Sein and Thura Shwe Mann, Speaker of the lower house of the Burmese parliament.
The Premier also met Aung San Suu Kyi, leader of National League for Democracy.
Suu Kyi said development activities of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inspired her a lot.
Nobel Laureate Suu Kyi said Myanmar can learn many things from Bangladesh. She applauded the Bangladeshi premier for her outstanding leadership in the country.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also praised the long struggle of Suu Kyi to establish democracy in her country.
Sheikh Hasina reached Myanmar on Monday morning to attend the 3rd BIMSTEC Summit to be held in its capital city Nay Pyi Taw on March 4.
The premier is scheduled to return home on Tuesday night.
The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is an international organization involving a group of countries, Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal, was formed in 1997.
