The National Legal Aid Organization (Legal Aid) has helped recover Tk 239.25 crore as compensation for insolvent litigants across the country.

According to a report published on Legal Aid’s official website, the compensation was realized from 2009 to January 2025 through both pre- and post-case settlements.

Of the total amount, Tk 232.62 crore was collected via 64 district legal aid offices, while Tk 6.63 crore was secured through the Workers' Legal Aid Cells in Dhaka and Chittagong.

The Legal Aid program operates under the Law and Justice Department of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, ensuring access to justice for those unable to afford legal services.
