Chittagong: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader closed port city depot manager (operation) of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) Kamruzzaman as he was not present at the office.

Minister closed the BRTC Manager in an inspection in Baluchhora area on Saturday noon.

Sources said Kamruzzaman told the minister that he was at his office while talking to him.

But the minister did not find him at the office and other officials informed him that the manager was on leave, sources added.

Besides, Obaidul Quader contacted BRTC Chairman who did not know anything about manager’s leave.

Later, he inaugurated construction work of Oxygen-Haat Hazari road in Fateyabad area.
