A mild heat wave is currently affecting Rajshahi and Sirajganj, but it is expected to subside soon, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) reported today.
The Met Office has also forecasted scattered rain or thundershowers, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, in parts of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions over the next 24 hours.
Isolated hailstorms may also occur in some areas, it added.
BMD meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik said that the weather is likely to remain mostly dry, with a partly cloudy sky prevailing across the country.
He added that daytime temperatures may see a slight drop, while nighttime temperatures could rise marginally.
On Wednesday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 36.3°C in Baghabari, Rajshahi, while the lowest was 14.2°C in Rajarhat, Rangpur, earlier today.
In Dhaka, the sun is set to rise at 6:02 am tomorrow after setting at 6:10 pm today.
