BSF hands over 2 lost BGB

RAJSHAHI: Border Security Force (BSF) of India handed over two missing members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Saturday afternoon after a flag meeting.

Commander of Godagari frontier Subedar Hossain Ali told banglanews that Lieutenant Colonel Nazimuddin, commanding officer of BGB-37 and Colonel Prem, commanding officer BSF-20 led the flag meeting.

Lieutenant Colonel Nazimuddin said Ali Newaz and Azad, entered India after they lost way, were brought back as there is no any complaint against them.

The BGB men were lost from Friday night, he added.

Godagari frontier Commander also said they were held by BSF-20 from Kandua frontier. Later, BSF conceded this when BGB officials informed to their Indian counterpart seeking explanation.
