BOGRA: Law enforcers arrested five more persons for their alleged involvement with the loot of Tk 32.50 lakhs from a Sonali Bank branch in Bogra by digging a tunnel into the bank’s vault on Saturday night.

Police picked them up from various areas of Adamdighi upazila of the district.

Officer-in-Charge of Adamdighi Thana Najrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On Saturday night, police nabbed four people in this connection.

Earlier in the evening, police found a tunnel through which robbers’ looted Tk 32.50 lakh from a Sonali Bank branch in Bogra.

Four people--two Ansar members, who were on security of the bank in Adamdighi upazila, the owner and an employee of the furniture house from where the tunnel started—were held in the evening, said a spot account of the incident.
