Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to leave for China today (March 26) on a four-day official visit.
A special flight carrying the Chief Adviser and his entourage will depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 1 pm, Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad confirmed earlier.
On March 27, Prof Yunus will address the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference, focusing on Asia’s evolving role in the global landscape.
On the sidelines of the forum, he is expected to meet with chief executive officers (CEOs) of leading global and Chinese companies.
The first bilateral meeting between Prof Yunus and Chinese President Xi Jinping will take place in Beijing on March 28, where discussions will cover key bilateral issues.
During his visit, Prof Yunus will deliver a lecture at Peking University (PKU), where he will be awarded an honorary doctorate.
Besides, the Chief Adviser will tour Chinese hi-tech parks and engage in talks with major hospital chains to explore investment opportunities in Bangladesh’s healthcare sector through joint ventures.
The CA is expected to return home on March 29.
