A mild heatwave is currently sweeping over Rajshahi, Rangamati, Feni, Sitakunda, Jashore, Bagerhat, and Patuakhali, and may persist, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

The Met office said that both day and night temperatures may rise slightly, with dry weather and partly cloudy skies expected across the country. 

A trough of low lies over West Bengal and the seasonal low over the South Bay.

Jashore recorded the highest temperature on Wednesday at 36.4°C, while the lowest was 19.0°C in Sitakunda. 

The sun will set at 6:12 PM today and rise at 5:55 AM tomorrow in Dhaka.
