Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is currently investigating renowned cricketer Shakib Al Hasan over allegations of corruption.

ACC Chairman Dr Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah said this while exchanging Eid greetings with reporters in front of the ACC headquarters in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, on Sunday (April 6).

He said, “We are investigating the allegations against cricketer Shakib Al Hasan. 

There is a possibility he may be named as an accused,” the ACC chief told journalists in response to a question.

However, he did not provide further details on the nature of the allegations.

The ACC earlier launched several probes into individuals with large income sources and public exposure, and the current investigation is part of that ongoing process.
