The government has appointed former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Moinul Islam as Bangladesh’s ambassador to Poland on a contractual basis.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Thursday (April 10).

According to the order, the appointment has been made under Section 49 of the Public Service Act, 2018. His post-retirement leave and related benefits have been suspended for the assignment. He will serve a two-year term, subject to conditions including severing ties with any profession, business, or institution.

Other terms of his appointment will be outlined in the contract.
