GAZIPUR: Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on Wednesday categorically said an international standard IT University would be established at Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park in the district.
He claimed that it would be such an institute where students from different countries will come to study.
Joy came up with the assertion while visiting Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park in the morning.
Joy said, “We do not want to focus on industrialization only at the Hi-Tech Park rather we want officials buildings for software centers also.”
Mentioning the business profitable, he added investors are also interested in investing in the project. “Cost of establishing a university won’t affect the budget as it could be established through private efforts,” he said.
He, asked the authorities to launch a vocational training center preliminary there to start the project as early as possible.
Joy also thanked Railway Ministry for their commitment to set up rail link from Dhaka to IT Park to communicate easily.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Affairs Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Railway Minister Mujibul Haque and others high ups were among others present on the occasion.
