DHAKA: A fire broke out at the second floor of a six-storey building in capital’s Tejkuni para area in Thursday noon.
The blaze originated at the high-rise around 12:00 noon.
On information, six fire fighting units from Tejgaon, Mohammadpur and Bangabazar fire stations rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after one hour frantic effort.
The extent of loss from the fire could not be known immediately.
Fire service duty officer Ataur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Tejgaon thana officer-in charge Majharul Islam told banglanews that the fire was not devastating one but we informed six fire fighting units due to huge smog.
