BRAHMANBARIA: Six people, including five of a family, were killed in a road accident at Sarail upazila in the district on Thursday afternoon.     
 
The deceased were identified as Shajahn Mia, 40, his wife Rawsan Ara, 35, son Ashraful 8, daughter, Sapna, 6, Ratna, 4 and CNG driver Hasem Mia 42 of Bachiura village under the upazila.   

Local and police sources said a Sylhet-bound cement laden truck knocked a tempo down and it knocked a CNG-run auto-rickshaw coming from opposite direction at Islambad point of Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 5:00pm, leaving four dead on the spot and two others injured critically.

The injured were admitted to nearest hospital where they succumbed to their injuries later.                                

Officer-in-Charge of Sarail Thana Ali Arshad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
