DHAKA: Two snatchers were held with firearms and four police personnel were injured while conducting a drive in city’s Kadamtali area on Friday night.

The detainees are Jamal and Akir Sajjad Joy.

Police sources said that acting on tip off, police conducted a drive and nabbed two snatchers with firearms while they were preparing for snatching in the area around 10:00pm.

Police seized two foreign-made pistols and 5-round bullets from their possession.

Besides, four policemen were injured as snatchers attacked on them.

One of the injured policemen was admitted to Razarbagh Police Line Hospital.

Sub-Inspector of Kadamtali Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
